DR. EESA MOHAMMED BASTAKI, Ph.D. PRESIDENT, UNIVERSITY OF DUBAI (UAE), is the recipient of the highest award in the UAE, the “Emirates Excellence Award in Sciences, Literature, and Arts”. Dr. Bastaki has extensive experience in education, leadership, technology, and communications. Previously, Dr. Bastaki worked as a professor at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). He also held positions as CEO of the ICT Fund; Director of Education, Training, and Research and Development for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO); and was a member of many academic boards. He is the Honorary Chair of IEEE, Chairman of the Emirates Science Club, Chair of the Emirates Energy Award, and a Board member of the Cultural and Scientific Association, and many more. Dr. Bastaki chaired several technology and research boards, initiated technology incubation concepts, and coined “R&BD terminology”. Dr. Bastaki received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of California, San Diego, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, USA.

Ravikiran Annaswamy is Founder and CEO of Numocity Technologies. He is incubating various innovative products using analytics and deep learning. His current business focus is on bringing Electric Mobility to Indian market and has launched various technology products like Fulcharge.com in this space. He works closely with global programs likeFounders Institute (Fi.Co) and Unreasonable Institute as Mentor and Coach for early stage startups. He is on the global team of IEEE 5G and is responsible for vision & strategy for future applications and services like Tactile/Haptic Internet, IOT, AR, VR Applications. He has over 23 years of business experience as Entrepreneur and as Business Leader at Nokia Siemens Networks and Siemens AG. He was Business Head for Indian market, led Global Product Management and was General Manager for BSS Solutions. He championed Intrapreneurship by working as Innovation head for Bangalore site of Nokia Siemens Networks. He has vast experience of launching successful technology solutions for global markets, mainly in the area of Analytics and Marketing automation, Online Billing and Charging, Innovative 3G/4G applications, Multimedia and Security Solutions. He is an engaged Professional volunteer, was the Chairman for IEEE Bangalore section (2014-2015), Industry Relations for IEEE - Asia Pacific (2014-15) and Secretary for IEEE Asia Pacific (2015-16). He is currently Editor in Chief for Leader Magazine for IEEE TEMS. He is a thought leader and speaker at various prestigious international business conferences.    He has done his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and has graduated from UVCE Bangalore.

Sudeendra Koushik 28 years of experience is in Innovation and Technology Management in India, Singapore, and the Netherlands in various roles, including new product and services development, project management, hardware, software and systems, intellectual property, people, and customer management with more than 20 patents in various stages. He has worked at Philips Netherlands, Europe, Philips India, HCL, and TTK. As a part of his consulting firm, PRASU, he has consulted for top companies, many in automotive technology, to help develop a culture of innovation, build innovation skills, and generate business-relevant innovations and intellectual property. He has been very actively engaged in the start-up sphere by mentoring and supporting multiple start-ups, innovation centers, accelerators, and incubators in multiple domains. Koushik has also worked closely with academia and innovation, being a part of academic councils forging stronger industry-academia collaboration. He has developed a unique innovation talent assessment and management method and is a TEDx and an international speaker, speaking regularly at multiple forums, universities, and conferences won several awards and recognitions. Sudeendra is a long-standing volunteer at IEEE, PMI, and Women in Big Data. He is also a cartoonist and actor. Koushik is an engineering graduate with management education and a Ph.D. in innovation. His Ph.D. by research is titled An integrated framework for Innovation talent management, focusing on Innovation & Intrapreneurship, specifically in scaling and managing business-relevant innovation. Sudeendra Koushik is a 2022 Member at Large on the 2022 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.

Prof. Hussain Al-Ahmad is the founding Dean of Engineering and IT at the University of Dubai. He has 33 years of higher education experience working at academic institutions in different countries including University of Portsmouth, UK, Leeds Beckett University, UK, Faculty of Technological Studies, Kuwait, University of Bradford, UK, Etisalat University College, UAE and Khalifa University, UAE. He was the founder and Chair of the Electronic Engineering Departments at both Khalifa University and Etisalat University College. His research interests are in the areas of engineering education, signal and image processing, multimedia, remote sensing and propagation. He has supervised successfully 30 PhD and Master students in the UK and UAE. He has delivered short courses and seminars in Europe, Middle East and Korea. He has published over 120 papers in international conferences and journals and has a UK patent. He served as chairman and member of the technical program committees of many international conferences such as IEEE EDUCON 2016, IEEE ICECS 2013, IEEE GCC 2011, IEEE ISSPIT 2009 and IEEE ICPSPC 2007. He is the chairman of the IEEE UAE Education Chapter. He was a vice chairman of the IEEE UAE section and the Middle East Section of BCS. He was a founder member and chairman of the IEEE UAE Computer Chapter and vice chairman of the IEEE UAE Signal Processing and Communication Chapter. He was also a founder member and secretary of the IEEE Kuwait section.
