Visa Information for Authors and Attendees

We are delighted that you will be joining us for the 2025 IEEE GCAIoT in Morocco! For our international guests, please review the following information carefully to determine your visa requirements and begin the application process as early as possible.

Important Note: It is the responsibility of each attendee to arrange for their own visa. We strongly recommend that you start the application process at least two months before the conference dates to allow for sufficient processing time.

Do I need a visa to enter Morocco?

Morocco has a visa exemption agreement with many countries. Depending on your nationality, you may be able to enter Morocco for a short stay (up to 90 days) without a visa.

    • Visa-Exempt Countries: Please check the official list of countries whose citizens are exempt from a visa requirement for short stays in Morocco.
    • e-Visa and Standard Visa Countries: If your country is not on the visa-exempt list, you will need to apply for a visa. Morocco offers an electronic visa (e-Visa) for citizens of certain countries. If you are not eligible for an e-Visa, you must apply for a standard “sticker” visa at the nearest Moroccan embassy or consulate.

Types of Visas for the Conference

For the purpose of attending our conference, you will most likely be applying for a short-stay business or conference visa. The required documents for this type of visa typically include:

  • A valid passport (with at least six months of validity beyond your date of entry).
  • A completed visa application form.
  • Recent passport-sized photographs.
  • A personal covering letter detailing the purpose of your trip.
  • A letter of invitation from the 2025 IEEE GCAIoT Organizing Committee.
  • Proof of accommodation (e.g., hotel booking).
  • Proof of round-trip flight tickets.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means to cover your stay.
  • Proof of occupation or student status.
