About IEEE GCAIoT
This is an IEEE conference, sponsored by IEEE TEMS.
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) is the world’s largest technical professional society. Through its more than 400,000 members in 150 countries, the organization is a leading authority on a wide variety of areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics. Dedicated to the advancement of technology, the IEEE publishes 30 percent of the world’s literature in the electrical and electronics engineering and computer science fields, and has developed nearly 900 active industry standards. The organization annually sponsors more than 850 conferences worldwide.
The IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society is a leading global community comprised of a diverse set of professionals coming together under a common slogan of "Leaders Enabling Projects/Services Success For Good". IEEE TEMS provides information and services to practitioners and researchers engaged in management sciences and practices required for defining, implementing, and managing engineering and technology innovation.
The IEEE GCIoT 2017 and 2018 were held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, welcoming more than 850 attendees, tens of keynote speeches and discussion panels with plenty of international speakers, attendees, and moderators, establishing the conference as a success and the region’s foremost forum for IoT innovation. The GCIoT 2017 and 2018 included keynote speeches, discussion panels, and technical sessions.
IEEE Global Conference on Internet of Things 2019 was held at Emirates Jumeirah Towers, Dubai, UAE, this version of the conference included valuable activities such as, Industry Summit, Triple Helix Exhibition and business networking forum that focused on closing the gap between research and implementation.
2020 IEEE GCAIoT will continue the success of its predecessors. This year’s program will include paper presentations, poster sessions and project demonstrations, along with prominent keynote speakers and industrial and government-focused workshops. Three tracks will be discussed in the conference: the technical, governmental, and industrial.
2020 IEEE GCAIoT is sponsored by the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), IEEE Communication Society IoT committee, IEEE Region 8, IEEE UAE Section, Dubai University, Zayed University, 5G world Alliance, IPV6, Bog Al Arab Innovation Cluster and National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
After extensive peer review, the best of the proposals will be selected for the conference program, which will include technical papers, tutorials, workshops and industry sessions designed specifically to advance AI & IoT technologies, systems, and infrastructure that are continuing to reshape the world and make our cities smarter and more sustainable. This 3-day event will include several keynote speeches by distinguished speakers from industrial, academic and government domains. It will also hold panels, forums, technical sessions featuring papers that were extensively peer-reviewed, workshops focusing on the latest trends in various AI & IoT related technologies, tutorials delivered by experts in the respective disciplines, exhibits, and, finally, a relaxing and entertaining banquet.
The terminology “Internet of Things” creates a vision of a world where everything is connected, from people to machines to entire enterprises and plants. It is all for the greater good of improving people’s lives, and making the planet a more convenient place to live in. What about connecting it with Artificial Intelligence? This would take digital transformation to new levels.
The Global Conference on the IoT (2020 IEEE GCAIoT) is intended to help our brilliant participants, researchers and professionals to share experiences and discuss up-to-the minute information and technological facts. The conference brings the latest research relevant to the new technologies, including a wide-ranged program of presentations, project showcasing and outstanding innovations that serve the community and help it move to digital transformation.
The theme for the 2020 IEEE GCAIoT conference is “Digital Transformation and Beyond” ; it was chosen in recognition of the ongoing developments in the MENA region regarding the focus on the deployment of “Digitalization” to facilitate and operate the principles and policies remotely. This enables us to sustain the improvement in drastic situations such as the current pandemic. So, whenever and wherever you are, IoT & AI will keep you connected with the rest of your community, and spreads ideas even when you are apart!
Digital Transformation and Beyond (DTB) is an innovative platform that revolves around the concept of the new technologies and processes that AI & IoT can implement in today’s businesses. The technologies of the fourth industrial revolution have the potential to help make informed decisions for any business, without minimum human interaction, which is considered a milestone in the journey of digital transformation.
The theme also highlights the importance of integrating AI and IoT technologies, which will help social distancing and reduce human interactions by shifting to robotics systems, machine learning, while keeping the sustainability of the smart cities' infrastructure.
All the projects, papers, posters, presentations, and events at the conference will focus on nurturing, cultivating, and accelerating the adoption toward the integration of AI and IoT technologies in real applications that can benefit society.
Join us in three full days of original paper presentations, tutorials, workshops, keynotes, demonstrations, industry sessions, and social events. This is all designed to further career opportunities, and give an in-depth understanding of the latest AI & IoT advancements worldwide. IEEE GCAIoT paves and implements a perfect environment to merge between the power of technology and how we can apply it in a practical way according to the governmental roles even during the "Corona circumstances!"
